2-10 Bakuromachi Yonago, Tottori 0859-22-5415
During the Edo period, Kanda shrine is valued as north guardian of the Yonago castle and as a tutelary of Yonago, it's been familiar to nearly everyone, called "Kanda san".
It is one of the oldest shrines in Yonago in company with Kamo shrine, Tenmangu and Gion yashiro and is occupied in this place since 1532.
It is said that prayers receive not only prosperous business but also blessed in general, this shrine is popular hatsumode spot among the public and has attracted many worshipers every year.
The shrine against the background of Kanda mountain is very stately.
The principal God is "Amenooshihomimi".
According to the folk legend, Shiro Kanda who developed the area between Sakaiminato to Yumigahama during Kamakura era is enshrined as well.
