As the first Sanin public museum opened in 1983.
The museum is built by brick and stored about 1700 local artists collections paintings by Kanji Maeda and Yoshitaka Kiyama , sculpture and poettry by Shindo Tsuji, and photographs by Shoji Ueda.
This museum has been popular as a place of creativity of citizens. It mount special seasonal exhibitions once to twice a year.
In addition, educational activities is the opportunity to get close to making a wide range of arts workshops, adults and children are welcomed to participate in art school and Saturday museum lecture course.
