Mizutori Park is one corner of the Ramsar Convention wetland and gets attention internationally. Especially average of 7, 5000 geese and ducks fly back here every year and are one of the largest habitats. About 1000 of tundra swans come visit in winter. This is valuable park due to endangered water plant species fennel pondweeds and giant water bugs appasus inhabit here.
From the nature center, one of the park facilities, you can observe waterfowl. The contrast between Daisen and waterfowl is amazing. The view is “waterfowl sanctuary”.
Attached telescope and binoculars are free to use, and volunteers and rangers explain birdwatching as simple and easy to understand as possible.
