Lord Ieyasu Tokugawa appointed Kazutada Nakamura, son of Lord Nakamura at age eleven, to be a castellan of Yonago as a reward for Nakamura’s support in Battle of Sekigahara.

Young Kazutada, upon entering the metropolitan area, was advised by a retainer Yokota and constructed a Yonago castle. Moreover, established a temple called Kannoji and invited saint Enkakuin from Shizuoka Kannoji.
Saint responded and appointed saint Niko, one of a six senior priests in Buddhist disciple of Nichiren, to the primary founder, saint Nitcho to second, and himself to third. He had set Nichiren Buddhism Minobusankuonji as the head temple of the Buddhist sect. It was recognized as most prestigious guardian temple.

Six years after the Yonago castle furor, Kazutada died at the age of twenty. He was buried along with two of his follower at Kannoji.

Mieido was initially built to honor Kazutada and two of his follower, Kageyu Tarui and Wakasa Hattori and wooden statues were also enshrined, however, because the fall was rotten over time, the tomb was built for his 350th death anniversary and wooden statues were re-enshrined in the main hall.
In addition, Kannoji in Shizuoka, Yonago and Wakayama the three temples later came to be called Japan Hokkesan Kannoji.
